> The Devil & the Duck

> There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm.
ada seorang anak laki2 mengunjungi kakek nenek nya di pertaniannya.
> He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods..
> (dia diberikan ketapel utk bermain di hutan)
> He practiced in the woods; but  he could never hit the target.
> (dia berlatih di dalam hutan, tapi dia tdk bisa mengenai sasaran)
> Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner.
> (dia putus asa, dan dia pulang untuk mkn malam)
>
> As he was walking back he saw Grandma’s pet duck.
> (sewaktu dia sedang berjalan kebelakang, dia melihat bebek peliharaan
nenek)
> Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in
the head and killed it. He was shocked and grieved!
> (secara reflek, dia menggunakan katapel tsb dan mengenai bebek tersebut
tepat di kepala dan mati. Dia sangat kaget dan tercengang)
>
> In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his
Sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.
> (didlm kepanikan, dia menyembunyikan bangkai bebek di lubang kayu dan
saudara perempuannya melihatnya! Sally melihat semuanya, tapi dia tdk
mengatakan apa2..)
>
> After lunch the next day Grandma said, ‘Sally, let’s wash the dishes’
> (setelah mkn siang, esoknya nenek berkata, Sally, tolong cucikan piring)
>  But Sally said, ‘Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the
kitchen.’
> (tapi Sally berkata, nenek, jonny bilang dia ingin membantu di dapur)
>
> Then she whispered to him, “Remember the duck?’
> ( kemudian dia berbisik kepadanya, “Ingat bebek itu?”)
>  So Johnny did the dishes.
> (jadi, Johnny yang mencuci piring)
>
> Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and
Grandma said, ‘I’m sorry but I need Sally to help make supper.’
> (hari berikutnya, kakek menyuruh apakah kalian mau memancing, dan nenek
berkata, wah sayang sekali tapi Sally hrs membantuku membuat makan
malam)
>  Sally just smiled and said, ‘well that’s all right because Johnny told
me he wanted to help?
> (sally hanya tersenyum, hm…tidak apa2 karena Jonny bilang akan
membantu nenek)
>  She whispered again, ‘Remember the duck?’ So Sally went fishing and
Johnny stayed to help.
> (dia berbisik kembali, “Ingat bebek itu?? jadi Sally pergi memancing dan
Johnny tinggal untuk membantu nenek)
>
> After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally’s; he
finally couldn’t stand it any longer.
>  (setelah bbrp hari Johny dikerjain sally, akhirnya dia tidak tahan lagi)
>  He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck.
> (dia datang kepada nenek dan mengaku bhw dia telah membunuh bebek tersebut)
> Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, ‘Sweetheart, I know. You
see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because
I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let
Sally make a slave of you.’
> (nenek berlutut, dan memeluknya dan berkata, SAYANG, SAYA TAHU. KAMU
TAHU, SAYA SEDANG BERDIRI DKT JENDELA DAN SAYA MELIHAT SEMUANYA, TAPI
KARENA SAYA MENGASIHI KAMU, SAYA MEMAAFKAN KAMU. SAYA HANYA BERPIKIR
BERAPA LAMA KAMU AKAN MEMBIARKAN SALLY MEMPERBUDAK
> KAMU)

> Thought for the day and every day thereafter:

> Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done…..? And the devil
keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad
habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)…whatever it is….You need to
know that:
> God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing…
> (apapun yg terjadi di masa lalu, apapun yg kamu lakukan..iblis
memperlihatkan kembali kepada kita, kebohongan, ketakutan, hutang,
amarah,kepahitan, kebiasaan buruk dll..) apapun itu….KAMU PERLU TAHU
BAHWA.. TUHAN SEDANG BERADA DI JENDELA DAN DIA MELIHAT
> SEMUANYA…)

> He has seen your whole life… He wants you to know that He loves you
and that you are forgiven. He’s just wondering how long you will let the
devil make a slave of you.
(dia sedang melihat smua hidup kamu. dia ingin kamu mengetahui bhw dia
mengasihimu dan kamu telah diampuni. Dia hanya bertanya-tanya brp lama
kamu akan membiarkan iblis memperbudak kamu)

> Hal yg besar ttg TUhan adl ketika kamu meminta pengampunan..
>  He not only forgives you, but He forgets.
>  Dia tdk hanya mengampuni kamu, tapi dia melupakan..
